What do Jared Leto, Natalie Portman, Ian Somerhalder and Emma Roberts have in common? Well, aside from being ridiculously good-looking, they’re just a few of the tons of celebrities who are helping spread the word about the People’s Climate March.
It’s going down in NYC this Sunday, where over 100,000 people and 1,000 environmental, labor, and civil rights organizations will march to demand action to fight the climate crisis.
Yes, we’re in the middle of a climate crisis, and no, we’re not doing enough to fix it. Animals are already feelin’ the effects, and if we continue living the way we are, it might not be long before your hometown is underwater.
The People’s Climate March is expected to be the largest climate march in history. It’s happening two days before the United Nations Climate Summit, where leaders from around the world will decide just how we’re gonna combat global climate change.
Even if you can’t make it to the march, click here for a list of ways you can get involved, from linking up with environmental activists in your town, to spreading the word on Twitter.
It’s not just about the march — it’s about movement and pledging to make better everyday decisions that save our planet.
